In this mixed media piece, I tried to express acceptance and hopelessness. This is anxiety, hate, depression and grief taking it’s toll, chipping away. All of those feelings are in my head, I’m holding onto them whether it’s consciously or not. I’m being self destructive by allowing these feelings to linger. I’m eating me.
Of course, in the process of making this emotionally driven art, I enjoyed myself. I scribbled and scrawled at the page for a while. It’s vibrant too. It felt good to get some of this out of me and on to the page.
