Newcastle-under-Lyme BID has unveiled “Artbox,” a public art initiative transforming the town’s streets with vibrant designs. In collaboration with local and national artists, including project lead Rob Fenton, the initiative decorates utility boxes and street fixtures, enhancing urban aesthetics and supporting the local arts community.

The initial phase of Artbox in Newcastle-under-Lyme will see the installation of stunning artwork throughout the town with plans to expand into the wider Borough in the future.

The project, which has already seen positive community feedback, aims to expand across the Borough. BID Manager Charl Pearce highlights the project’s role in building community pride and reducing anti-social behaviour. Artists like Emily Bratby are thrilled to contribute, adding colourful murals that brighten public spaces.
